I just have to say...

Putting your American license plate over your European one is pretentious.

If you can get the screwdriver out to put the new plate on, you can use it to take the old one off and store it in the trunk. It's not like you're going to end up accidentally driving over the California/Belgium border and getting pulled over.

Sh'mon, folks! Sh'mon.

I'm one of the most tool-challenged people out there, and if I can take an old plate off and screw on a new one, anyone can.

Also, I'd sent a message a while ago using your contact form, but I'm not sure it got to you. I'd like to quote you on my blog. Would you email me about it?

Katie-

Tell the truth: Did you moonwalk while you wrote this post? Sh'mon, now. Be honest.

BTW, great pic!

I also have some good news for you. Now that you have your American plates on, you DO NOT have to put on your European one's as long as you remain in American soil. Isn't that neat? It's nice to have them within arms reach, because everyone one of us has taken a wrong turn on our way to Albuquerque, Baltimore, or El Paso and ended up in Milan or Berlin. Don't feel bad about that. It happens to the best of us :0)

(Yes, I am being sarcastic. LOL!)

I emailed you! :-)

Yes, I'm tool-challenged, as well. Eight years ago, when I got a new car, my husband (not yet at that point) told me to go ask the building maintenance man for a monkey wrench to put the license plate on with. So I did.

But since then I've learned! I can not only put them on, but I can take them off, too. And then put them back on! (Not that I do this often.)

Tom, if I had a nickel for every time I was trying to get to Disneyland and found myself in Albania, I would have like thousands and thousands of nickels.

Or not. But yes, I mean, seriously!

No moonwalking was performed in the creation of that blog post. I never even learned how to moonwalk (*sob!*)--very uncool when I was in kindergarten and everyone was doing the worm or whatever it was.
